How to drive a Subaru in snow

My 19 year old cousin took his Eagle Talon to the abandoned parking lot on Saturday and did the same thing.

Clearly spinning around in circles in a snow-covered parking lot is the most serious test of man and machine.
 
I used to do that during the first snow fall every year to get my "winter wheels" back - and have some fun. Now I just stomp on the brakes in the driveway to see how slick it is.
