There is a known issue with the forums and Internet Exploder 11 (eleven).
Use the images below to get rid of this tumor. If your system does not show the "Show Installed Updates" under "Programs and Features", you can click on the header (either Programs and Features, or just Programs, depending on system) and it will appear on the left bar. After restart, open up IE. It will give you a "cannot connect" error at first..ignore it (It's just IE being confused because you're treating it like a red headed stepchild).
Go to help (you may have to press "Alt" on the keyboard), click on "About Internet Exploder", and a box will appear. UNCHECK that nice little decorative box that says "Automatically install updates", or whatever garbage salesman language Micros**t uses.
Now try to come to the forum.
