How to Tell the Sex of a Fly

A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Hunting flies" he responded.

"Oh! Killing any?" she asked.

"Yep, 3 males, 2 females," he replied.



Intrigued, she asked, "How can you tell them apart?"
He responded, "3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone

Funny true story. My sister got her 1st job out of college because she was the only one of the applicants that could tell the sex of pinkies (newborn mice). One of the applicants was afraid of mice and the job was @ unc-CH doing experiments on mice. Why they applied I don't know.
The job went well for my sis as she was able to take the control groups home rather than gassing them like the test group. Saved her some money on feeding her 3 snakes. Tho she did turn down promotions as that would have involved animals higher up the ladder, like beagles or monkeys. She just couldn't bring herself to put them down.
She's now a professor in Wilmington teaching Bio and Chem.
