He's with a new team so how will he do? Truex hasn't set the world on fire at MWR and I doubt Martin/Waltrip will win any races so will Clint be the only bright spot?

I think he'll be lucky to get more than two or three top fives.

Well, if BAM was still around I'd say they could have a full driver roster next year with Bowyer and Martin.

Whenever a driver changes teams , there is a big adjustment period .I see no reason to expect a win this year.

I don't think he wanted to leave so much as had to because of sponsorship.

So you are going to believe that? It was Clint who brought 5 Hour Energy to MWR. Also RCR said they were losing the sponsor on the 33, yet General Mills stuck around as a part time sponsor on the 31 with Burton. So why couldnt clint bring 5HE to RCR?

Clint explained it all. 5 hour was a bargain hunter. Richard opened the books to Clint, and he agreed that the numbers wouldn't work at RCR. Obviously, MWR doesn't spend as much per car, so they were able to make it work and still pay Clint enough.

Clint Bowyer: The next Bobby Labonte. Except without a Championship. And with many less wins. He just attained also-ran status quicker than Bobby did.

I like both drivers but the truth is the truth.

Like Junie Donlavey said "Not every one can win. Someone's got to run 20th."

Hard to disagree. Never really understood why Bobby left JG.

Go back and look at Bobbys 2005 season it was horrible! End of 2005 was also when JGR started expressing some interest in going to Toyota, that might have had something to do with it also?
But when The King offers you a ride to drive the Famous #43 for Petty Enterprises.....how can you turn that down?

He couldn't get along with his crew chief Steve Addington. Bobby was doing great 2003, solidly in the top 10 then Fatback got fired. Addington replaced him and they quickly fell out of the top ten and failed to win a race in the 18 months together.

I was sad when Fatback got fired. Funny thing was, it was the pit crew that was responsible for it.

Before he got fired that year, I think he had some wins with Bobby.

How will Bowyer do in 2012?

Probably not as good as Kasey but certainly better than Mikey/Mark.

How did Fatback make out? Anybody know what happened to him ? Was he too outspoken for some teams ?
