Hurricane Nate

Hopefully this doesn't go through rapid intensification because it has Louisiana in its track.

I really need it to move west... we desperately need the rain here in North Carolina. Has not rained in over three weeks and haven't had any significant rain since the early months of summer.

It's got me sighted in also bud. We just don't know yet.

By the time it got here, it would be a tropical depression. And we need the rain, bad. It's been ridiculous.

The worst part is, when it has rained, it's been on Saturday nights.
Know what you mean. We've had a normal rainy season here. Pretty much every afternoon.

If it stays on the projected path it'll fizzle out long before it hits New England. That's ok with me.

Stay safe and look out for the snowbirds down there. My wife said she thought they were more New York license plates on vehicles than Florida at the shopping mall last thanksgiving. We were down last thanksgiving visiting family.
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out. :D
Johali, it if gets nasty, you're always welcome here. :)
Thanks, I'll damn sure keep it in mind. As for now it looks like It'll miss us to the west. South Texas sure doesn't need any more trouble either.

We're in for up to an 8 foot storm surge and winds up to 70+ mph. We're battened down pretty good here. We have everything we need. We may lose power for a while and we have Direct TV. so we'll definitely lose that for a few hours. We're on the bad side (east side) of the storm and it also depends on when it makes it's turn to the north east how bad things get. This thing will be nasty but we've been through much worse and will be fine. The latest forecast is the outer bands will start pounding us at 1 to 2 pm. We're also expecting 10" to 14" + of rain.

Stay safe and bug out if you have to. Texas has plenty of gators, you'll fit right in. :)
We'll be fine. High water is no problem for us and we've got everything else covered. It's supposed to make landfall at 1 am. I wish these damn things would hit during the day.

Hair? What the he77 are you talking about?
Just calling for some rain around here,,,for now..

Been watching and looks like you might have dodge another storm. Hope everything is good in your area and no problems. Keep safe, that's the main thing. Keep us up to speed, okay?

Been a brutal year for hurricanes. Fla,and the Gulf coast got hammered. Can't forget PR.
I have no scientific proof but it seems to me this years batch was especially strong, Cat 3 and above.

Thanks bud. It's already looking like business as usual. Stores opening, traffic flowing, airports reopening and the wind is still blowing about 25-30 mph. :D

Glad you're ok,looking forward to hurricane season ending. My sons girlfriend is a gator fan,she thought that game was a sure thing with LSU infighting and issues they are having.

Happy to know all is well in northwest Florida with no damage or injury. It seems each part of the country has its weather related issues. California with the earthquakes and wild fires, New England with the blizzards and Florida with the hurricanes, although the Hurricanes are in Raleigh, North Carolina.

All good weather at Myrtle Beach today, hoping for the best at Charleston tommorow and Savannah on Friday and Saturday.
