At NBC....No Post Race coverage, No Victory Lane coverage, No Kiss the Bricks, No Milk!

Right on!

I thought I accidentally rolled over on the remote when 'E Weekend Edition' came on...

They didn't even cover the top 5!!!!!! Just 1, 2, 3.... Grrrrr....

I even switched to TNT to see if they had any post race stuff, but NOO!
GIMME FOX!

Wasn't it NBC that did a really good job last year with post race interviews? I remember one channel always doing at least the top 10.

It might have been CBS...I can't keep em straight...

The race ran a little long with the unusual amount of cautions for that particular race (Indy is normally a fairly caution free race, if you don't know)........the stations do have other obligations. And just a few years ago the race would likely have been left by many local stations to honor those obligations.........thankfully NBC stayed with the race till the end and did get to the top three for interviews.

Guess y'all didn't notice that NBC was going to commercials when a caution came out and canceled the break to stay with the race......by my estimate they delayed that commercial break for about 5 minutes. Pretty selective on your rants, don't cha think? :)

The post race was just fine. Jeff parked in the middle of the race track said his stuff, The top 3 were interviewed, Time was over for the coverage. Jeff is the one that parked in the middle of the race track, not in victory lane. Jeff had a whole yard of bricks to kiss when he got out of the car but didn't. Milk is not a sponsor of Jeff, so he probably would not drink it.

But, they didn't show Martin's flat tire that dropped him from the top 10 to the the 20's. Along with Lil'Es fall from 6th to mid=20s. I don't even know why. There was a lot of smoke. He was doing a lot of blocking. Did something happen?

That part of the post-race coverage was bad. They never showed what happened to Jr.

The race was supposed to be over by 6:00. It ran far past that. Speed Channel and FSN have good shows with -plenty of post-race interviews, they're just not live.

After the race is over, if you want a good NASCAR fix, tune into SPEED at 7PM ET and 8 PM ET for Speed News Sunday and NASCAR Victory Lane. Those programs do a very good job at interviewing drivers and providing more detail on the race.

And if you stay tuned in-between at 7:30, you can even see series other than NASCAR.

Yeah I figured they would atleast show J. Gordon kissing the bricks, but they left, that was pretty stupid, all pre-race they talked about kissing the bricks, then they didnt even show it.

I know I'm a tad late on this subject (just got back from out east)....but a) Jeff never made it to Victory Lane, B) I don't recall ever seeing any off the Brickyard 400 winners drinking milk? I may be wrong, but I just don't remember ever seeing it.
