I Bet They Got Called to The Trailer

I betcha all those guys are friends of Chololate Myers . He just loves Bowman Grey.

Earnhardt Fans will love the final lap pass...

That little guy was PISSED! I would have been as well!

Man, that video makes me wan to give Bowman Gray another chance.

Hel lot more exciting than watching a "follow the leader" race for about 200 laps.

LOL, Bowman Gray IS follow the leader racing. I'd go just to go, but I've seen several of their races on YouTube and we have weekly coverage from that track. The racing itself sucks, it's about the extracirricular activity there.

That's the problem with single groove tracks I guess.

Bowman Gray is a great place to race and it's more than a 1 groove track.

I have to give props to both drivers and some observations:

1- They both made amazingly quick exits from their respective cars ( and that one guy is a BIG OL BOY ) great safety training!

2- The driver of the 20 also used his head and remembered to keep his helmet on even after the Checkered Flag, something ALL Short Track drivers should be encouraged to do.

3- The black cars driver learned somethin too: For future referance, If your gonna Dump the leader you might wanna skip the flag/cool down lap and head on to the pits.

4- And finaly has any one else ever noticed that in these situations it Always takes 4-5 guys to hold back the lil guy and only 1 or 2 to hold back the Big Un?

Props also to the track offical for going above and beyond saving the Checkered Flag!!! :beerbang:

I just want to be sure we are on the same page when something happens in a race this year

There's a difference between wrecking someone on a cool down lap on a 1/4 mile track where at most you're going 100mph, and doing it on a Super Speedway during what was supposed to be caution, and going 190mph.

LEARN2DIFFEREINATE.

these cars are not built like cup cars:rolleyes: 100mph in these could KILL YOU............And remember on the cool down lap they start taking safety gear off

Gotta disagree there bud. Doing crap like that under caution or a cool down lap anywhere is flat out wrong and dangerous.

Yep. And the difference between Bowman Gray and any other track is this behavior is glorified, even encouraged, at BGS.

By the way Pagan, Langley Speedway is also a flat track and I've seen plenty of side-by-side racing there, even seen a four wide finish there.

And, competitors have been banned for the remainder of the season for fighting. (happened in 2010 most recently, when a points leader was sent packing)

It is still NASCAR sanctioned. That doesn't mean it's not encouraged and glorified. Hell, look at MADHOUSE.

He was lucky he didn't kill one of the track workers the way he was driving through the infield. Plus he was lucky the track workers put him down before that big ol boy he was going after didn't put him out of his misery.

While I agree that the drivers were stupid, what can you say about the guys running around the infield while this is happening?

Remember folks, many in NASCAR credit the Allison/Yarborough fight after the 1979 Daytona 500 as "putting NASCAR on the map." Just sayin'... :D
