Agreed, it is getting old. As much as I do like Jr, it's waaaaaaay overdone. Did you notice after last night's race, he got more airtime than 1st and 2nd place combine. And his own TV special after that. Overkill like this can cost him fans.
 
I was thinkin the same thing myself...... In a year or two, Mark will step down, and I've got to find another driver. As much as I've seen and read about Jr, I wouldn't mind bein a fan. Any driver that knows as much and has as much respect for the drivers that came before him, can't be all bad..... in fact, he's a guy i can relate to more than probably anyone else. he is second generation driver, with big boots to fill- i am second generation photographer with big boots to fill...... we both grew up around racin, we both are hard core gamers...... both like to sleep in, and stay up late....lol, he would be an ideal canidate... BUT with all the hoopla surrounding him, I don't wanna jump on the bandwagon. ( Well, that and he drives for Hendrick....lol)

Don't let all the hoopla stop you from being a Jr fan. He is the real thing.

I agree. Way overhyped. He is overrated and I agree, it gets old as heck.:mad:

Denny Hamlin wins the 2nd duel but no one would know it unless you are really into NASCAR because all you hear about is Jr winning the 1st.

Im hoping Dario Franchitti wins this Daytona.

Jr may not win the Daytona 500 but he is certainly one of the favorites. It must be tough to be a non-Jr fan. :)

Mute the t.v until the green flag drops. Saves you alot of grief.

Yeah, it did seem that Kyle was the only driver Waltrip could talk about. What he should have been saying was it takes more than a fast car to win.
 
Maybe because Kyle was out front all day. But not when it counted.
 
During the prayer and national anthem, they should Junior 3 or 4 times and followed him to his car. It was a might ridiculous.
 
Why is everyone all over Jr? Does he ask Nascar to cover him the way they do no, just except that he has a lot of fans and let the man drive gezz! :rolleyes:

I'm not hating on June Bug. I'm hating on FOX and ESPN for the way they cover him like he's a religious cult leader.

Like I said Nascar's fault not Jr's. I also agree he will win a championship now that he is with Hendrick! :)
 
Jr. will win one before ANYONE of your drivers wins one, RCR.
 
To be honest, I could like Junior just fine if the media would stop shoving him down my throat all the time. No different than those who complained about Jimmie and Jeff coverage during The Chase, except this goes on whether Jr is in The Chase or not. My husband and I joked that maybe they would change it to 15 spots in the Chase to make sure he got in this year. If you like him, you love the coverage. If you don't or you're neutral on him, it gets tiring. Yeah, it's not his fault, but still can't help getting annoyed about the coverage.

It's not Junior's fault he gets treated like that by NASCAR, ya know. He's NASCAR's poster boy. You can't find a better Ambassador for NASCAR with the exception of Jeff Burton or Mark Martin. I feel bad for the guy because honestly I don't think he wants that kind of attention for coming in 9th. The NASCAR Media is one of the worst sports medias out there. I got 2 words for ya, Darrell Waltrip. Im gonna go smoke my hookah now later. Boogity Boogity Boogity Boys Lets go Smoking.
