I'll add to that Awesome.......Baseball the "sport" that has absolutely no regard for it's fans!! They strike and only the fans suffer.:) It's all about money and they get the lion's share!! Negotiate your best deal and live with it.......don't go for more if you ain't worth it. Remember who pays the bills......it's the FANS!

Sammy and Mark brought me back when they were having such a battle, but this is it.

I read in the paper this morning, that Alex Rodriquez would lose $118,000 per game during the strike. The means he's paid enough in 2 games to equal my entire earnings in 30 years of teaching school. Somethings out of whack with this scenario.

Its one of those sports that if you aren't playing, it puts you to sleep.

You know what was kinda wierd, I had some racing on TV and I went to sleep and I was dreaming I was racing. I did it the next day too. So maybe if you don't like baseball, you shouldn't fall asleep to it.

Baseball the sport is one of the best sports going. Baseball the business sucks mightily. Maybe I like it because I played. I dunno. But I am with the majority of the fans; If they strike, I am done. Forever. Baseball then goes into the same Recycle Bin as soccer, figure skating, WNBA, yachting, and all the other competitions I refuse to watch.

TN, I have been a baseball fan since the '40s, knew how to score a game before I was 5, almost lived at Fenway during the Red Sox/Braves years. When I moved from Mass to RI, I supported the AAA team there and became vice prez of the fan club. I have coached Little League, played and coached softball, and on and on.
It was a joy to me to move to GA so I could see my Braves again.....
NOW??? I don't go to games, don't watch on the tube much, even tho the Braves are in the division lead.
Like I said, I've had it:(
