I gotta give NASCAR some props...

... for pulling Gilliland out of the race (before Montoya got into the pace car and took him out:p).

ARCA, take note, you should've done the same damn thing to Stenhouse at Toledo.

Can we have a Kurt busch 2005 deal?

Except the accident was on track, and he'd be with the same team next year?

For all the stunts Monyoya's pulled, like racing the leader and holding him up when he's laps down, it's a wonder it hasn't happened to him, before.

When it was told they were holding him for 5 laps, my thought was why they didn't park him for the rest of the race. Then they finally did.

Just Na$car being consistent about being inconsistent again. The call was made to hold him for 5 laps then a lap or two into that penalty they changed it and parked him.
If you make a call, stick with it.

Well maybe they were gonna hold him 5 laps and then he tried to tell that weak ass excuse over the radio and NASCAR heard it and then decided to park him.

the online arrticle says nascar origionally thought montoya could get back on track. When they learned the car was totaled, thats when they pulled him in.

And a good move on nascar's part for doing so.

It will never happen but I'd like to see a penalty for deliberately wrecking someone along the line of until the other car returns to the track +5 laps held. You could still move someone out of the way as long as you didn't wreck him badly.

That would be too subjective. That works well when its a nobody its being applied to. But, I can see 1 of the superstars wrecking someone and the fans getting upset over this.

a superstar wouldnt deliberately wreck someone.

Nobody wants to be parked so retaliation on the track would have an immediate decrease in cheap shots. These guys know how to get their point across without ruining there chances of finishing as high as they can in a race.
