I have proof! I have proof!

I taped the race today, and have watched it from start to finish. And I found something kinda fishy during the caution with 11 to go. NASCAR has said it time and time again that when you come down pit road, you MUST be in a single file line. Well, when Dale Jr and Waltrip pitted with 11 to go, they were side-by-side at the pit line. Yes, side-by-side. I have it on tape, and i'm sure most of you can see it during the replay this week. I'm not trying to cause a riot or anything, but I thought that was lame on NASCAR's part. They were side-by-side, and that is against NASCAR's rules. Once again they turn a blind eye.

Anyone else see this?

There's been proof for years. It's never made a spec of difference, and it won't now either.

I do believe that at the same time there was a potential big mess happening on the front stretch. I would not a have problem with them overlooking the single file rule becuase I am sure their attention was else where.

You sir, have proof of nothing. You should know by now that any rule is suspended if it involves Lil'E. They will use the wreck as an excuse. Never mind that Lil'E, Mikey and the others were already committed to pitting and the wreck happened after and in front. <_<

I don't know what that had to do with Jr anyway, he was leading so he couldn't have been out of line. ^_^

I only have one question. Well maybe two!! :) Wasn't that single file rule for green flag pit stops only? And did the caution come out after they were committed to pit road but before they reached pit road? That's two honest questions........the first one I'm pretty sure is single file during green flag stops. The second I'm not too sure about.........but it was close.

Just something to think about.............sometimes "proof" is not really proof of what you think it is!! :)

As I understand the rule the single file is for pit stops, period. Lil'E and Mikey were side by side after the commit line and just before the 1st timing line when the wreck occured. The caution came out after they had crossed the timing line. Obviously Mikey was the one in error as Lil'E was leading. As an aside, Mikey wasn't the only one on that particular stop. It was a good no call, IMO, but it could bring into question NASCAR's impartiality in the future. I suppose we should call this the "Jeff Gordon" rule (dumbass move) and it was put in for safety. But, rules are rules and should they be enforced to the letter or let the officials have some leeway? The problem arises when people see (in their minds) that some rules are enforced only when some people are involved and not when others are involved. That is the tightrope that NASCAR must walk.

Jesus, don't some of you have anything better to do than try to prove this stupid ass conspricy theory.

Exactly!!

I for one don't have any "conspiracy theories".

I also don't need to be wacked over the head with a hammer to know it hurts.

I have two eyes, two ears and although not as keen as they used to be when I was 16 - they still work.

I've seen situations where drivers obviously broke a rule and got away with it and others broke the same rule and didn't. No theory there - just simple, unbiased, on-tape facts.

I stand by the fact that they were dealing with the mess on the from stretch. For that matter if someone was far enough back and wanted to avoid the mess on the front stretch they could have LEGALLY sped down pit road pretty much throwing the single file rule out the window.

Profanity isnt allowed havent you herd, thats a $10,000 fine payable to me. B)

Which word is profane????? LOL

That single file rule was explained even BEFORE the race started.

Where you folks at??? And if you watched that replay that
closely, you would have seen not just Mikey and Jr, bur several others as well. Annnnnnd, with a wreck happening, it would have been too
time consumming to sort it all out. Then we would all have been screaming about cautions lasting too long!!! ROTFLMBO!!!!!!!

Never satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

some people in here really need to watch out for the whaaaaanbulance.

i also have proof that gordon is a big baby. if he doesnt win its someone elses fault. "shew no one will help me; i have no friends out here"

no wonder: no one wants to help a crybaby.

be like the rest and suck it up.

Did you ever hear why beavers tails are so flat???????

Maybe you should look that one up in Aesop's fables, child.

Don't go spitting nasty at Jeff Gordon without knowing you will be called on it.

Looks to me like she was defending Jr & Mikey.

Why, thankee kindly, Eagle 1. Refreshing to read a wee bit of sanity here and there.

And you are perfectly correct. I was more or less standing up for Mikey and Jooooonyer. BTW, It wasn't me that started that long drawn out Jr. It was our fine friends in the media! LOL I just thought it was cute and meant nothing evil, illegal, distasteful, snide, sarcastic, or stuff like that there. Jeeeeeeezzzzzz, give a dragonlady a break.
