#1 Goes to Carl 'I tried to stop' Edwards. We may see Matt haul off and punch him during an interview.

#2 Kyle 'GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME' Busch. What was he thinking pinching down like that?

#3 Jimmie 'give it to me' Johnson. Ever hear of the bump and run?

#1: Matt punch Carl? Never happen.
#2: Pee Wee was fighting for position with 5-time. Aggressive but not dirty.
#3: I LMFAO when Andy and Dale Jarrett were comparing Jimmie and Chad to an old married couple! :D

Bonehead award goes to the 11 team for effing up soooo badly on their fuel mileage calculations.

Sorry, I don't see any of thoes as candidates

#22 team for bringing out a car that failed pre-race inspection. that was enough to unsettle kurt the entire race. high-strung isn't he?

There weren't many to choose from. Did I miss anyone?

1) Carl plows into people a lot. He seems to lose focus or sits on his left foot.
2) Kyle needed to get back in the points. Trying to run Johnson onto the apron could have really cost him.
3) JJ needs to realize that the respect game is pretty much over.

Alan Gustafson or whoever was calculating fuel mileage for the 24....

Ok, that should be #1. Addington lost his last job by running a sloppy chase effort.

Maybe the #51, 1 lap down, pinching down on Kez and almost getting wrecked.

I usually try to steer clear of these threads but I am diving in on this one.

NASCAR gets my vote.

Kurt Busch's car was presented for pre-race inspection and did not pass. He should have gone to the back of the field.

+1

Agreed! But I wonder how it passed the earlier inspections.

They did something to that car when he qualified and that's when he got his speed because before then, he had been running in the 30s all through practice, even on his q runs. Another reason it was held was because they were late to inspection. NASCAR was teaching them a little lesson. I still think he should have had to start in the back.

Kurt Busch is getting to be a bigger and bigger flake every race. He wins it from me.

The thread just ain't the same on weekend's when Steven Wallace doesn't race.

My vote???

Gotta be the 24 team for not filling the LEADING CARS tank all the way which prolly cost the win.
Betsy:rolleyes:

Another nominee for me is NASCAR.

Kurt Busch has pulled, and gotten away with, so much crap that other drivers would be suspended for -- something that's gone on for close to nine years with Kurt now.

That said, the mental meltdown of Kurt Busch is providing some entertainment. I wonder if Brad Keselowski winning races and running so much better in the same car Kurt had last year is getting in his head.

NASCAR for not penalizing Kurt's car infraction.

And even though I'm a JJ fan, I gotta say it was a bonehead move to tangle with Kyle and not even have the common decency to put him in the wall. Obviously Jimmie has not wrecked enough people in his career because when he tries he sucks at it.

^I usually defend JJ but he shouldn't expect another chase competitor in a chase race to cut him a break for position late in the race.

He drove into Kyle and was fortunate not to have wrecked both of them. JJ has been a smart racer, I have never smack talked the 5 time accomplishment, but he is not looking like a 6 timer after today.
In fact Kyle handled the aftermath better too, Jimmie was a fade for the remainder of the race.

A self inflicted fade. Jimmie would have been wiser to call it just racing as well in the post race interview, rather than infer Kyle ran him to hard. Again I usually defend JJ, but today he looked and acted like the Jimmie reputation that I have try to defend against here, in the last month.

I vote for Kyle being the bonehead who doesn't give room anymore. And I bet the next time JJ is in the same position, Kyle will be the one that gets pinched.

How about Carl spinning Matt? Did Carl try to avoid it like he said? Or was he just blowing smoke? NO pun intended.

Maybe Kyle should've pulled over and let JJ pass :sarcasm:

Carl swore he was hard on the brakes, but that's BS. Carl tried to force his way under Matt and when Matt didn't yield, Carl moved him.

Remember Carl getting into Hamlin last year? He turned Hammy sideways and backed off. Just as Hamlin got it straightened out, Carl gassed up and spun him and then said "I did all I could do to stay off him".

They all BS. JJ talking about Kyle getting him aero loose was pretty rediculous. That whole thing was the reverse of what happened between JJ and Kurt at Richmond.

JJ tried to stamp out Kurts efforts to get people to race JJ hard, and it backfired. Even Biffle jumped in. JJ needs to put the white knight routine to bed and start stock car racing.

My choice is Kurt Busch and his entire team. They had trouble getting through inspection. And then, he says the F word on camera before the race.

And from my understanding part of the deal with Shell coming to Penske was that they WANTED Kurt and not Keselowski???
I bet you somewhere in a Shell boardroom there's some serious soul searching going on.....or maybe a good BUTT KICKIN :D

That's the story Kurt was given. I'm not going to look for the text, but a Shell rep came out and said in the announcement "It's not about who drives the car..". Aligning with Penske got Shell 100's of millions in direct business. I would bet the shell contract pays Kurt quite well, and at some point he will have to tone it down.

Meanwhile, Miller spoke about how excited they are to get an up and coming star who fits their demographic.
