Dude drives from Richardson, gets his azz kicked by a woman and thrown in jail afterwards.Sux to be him.
A man determined to fight a woman Thursday night wound up with cuts and bruises and a trip to jail, according to a police report.
An officer responded to a report of a fight about 2:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of Dallas Drive. He found a woman sitting alone outdoors on a large landscaping rock. She was very agitated and said she was waiting for a friend to arrive so that they could fight.
The officer talked her out of the fight and walked her back to her apartment, where he instructed her roommate to call the man to tell him not to come because the fight was not going to happen. The roommate complied.
But about 3:12 a.m., the same officer again responded to a fight call at the address. He found a man bleeding from cuts and scrapes on his face and hands. He asked the man why he came when he had been told to stay away. The man, who was intoxicated, said the officer’s orders didn’t count if they were relayed by someone else.
He said he and the woman had a disagreement at a bar earlier and he believed she had disrespected him.
They exchanged several taunting text messages, he said, and he felt bound to fight her.
The officer contacted the woman, whose knuckles were bruised and swollen from hitting the man.
She said that when the man showed up, she felt obligated to defend herself. She said her hand was injured and insisted on going to a hospital emergency room.
The officer issued a citation to her. Since the man had driven from Richardson for the fight and was under the influence of alcohol, the officer took him into custody to keep him from driving while intoxicated.
