I need to talk to someone!

I'm going to have surgery Thursday. What's the problem if you want to discuss it?
 
I have endometriosis,intestines fused to ovary.gotta separate it,burn out all abnormal cells depending on how bad intestines stuck to it.

Did you just find this out today? They can do amazing things today, have hope and try not to worry till they find out more.
 
My wife has a friend who had this done not too long ago....I'm not trying to smooth things over, but in her words, it wasn't as bad as what she though.

Oh sweetie sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with you dear. Doctors can do wonders these days and things like open heart surgery is an every day thing to do for them! Try not to stress if you can, easy for me to say but it's for the best.

No, nothing major but naturally I'd rather not have it. :eek:

I'm having a procedure called "arthroplasty" performed on my right big toe. I shattered this toe years ago and now there are complications. It's been swollen since Thanksgiving and heavy antibiotics along with cortisone shots did not help. I've been out of work since then cause I need to wear steel toe boots and can't.

I went to the doc/surgeon today and he said it's about a 40 minute procedure and he's 90% sure it will work. I don't know the details as I prefer not to know. I won't be put to sleep but he claims I won't feel anything. After surgery can be painful but we'll see.

If this doesn't work, I may need another, more involved surgery where they will take bone from my hip and rebuild part of the toe. :eek:
 
Highboy, we have very powerful drugs these days. After they give you the drugs, they will numb your toe. It will be very sore after the anesthetic wears off. Be sure to keep it elevated and iced. Don't be alarmed if it is blue, purple and black. That is normal and will go away in about a week. Goodluck and keep us posted as to your progress. :cheers:

I go in for my pre op on 3/14
surgery is 3/21.
The pain is bad now,I'm gonna try to make it till the surgery.Hope I can continue to work despite all this.I can't aford to be out of work for too long.That's life and I'll bounce back from this too.

highboy try not to bounce after your surgery! :D
 
Thanks Nascarwoman for the pm.Glad to know that I look terrible due to the endometriosis.(pale skin color w/orange tint,not to mention the dark circles under my eyes)I'm so tired.have no energy.I'm trying to eat right.ate roastbeef poboy for lunch,yogart for dinner.Tomorrow will be rough,I close.
