I'm back, and apparently I'm going to be hired.......he just needs to check a few of my previous employers and stuff. That shouldn't be a problem. Only thing a little disappointing is that he has two fairly large ground up, new buildings with signed contracts but they don't start for a week to ten days! Got to call him back Monday to see if that is still the schedule. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for a call from a friend who is an electrical contractor to see if he has a few days work for me in the interim. Don't want to go back to my present employer tomorrow if I don't have to........he would let me work, but there is just not enough work to keep me busy. Eight hours seems like eight days!
Problem with my present employer is that I really liked working for them.......just the client (Countrywide Home Loans) is getting very flakey right now and my employer hasn't gotten a signed contract from the next job.........Hitachi. Year end stuff.........waiting so they can show a good bottom line to the stock holders. Politics.
