Well. I start my new job tomorrow. This will be a pretty big change for me as I haven't actually worked since September of 2007 due to health issues. My health issues aren't really any better, but we desperately need the money and I keep getting declined for disability so it is what it is. This job is 6 days a week and it's on my feet for most of an 8 and a half hour day. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it physically or not, but I could make some pretty good money at it if I'm as good at it as I think I will be and with a little luck. If nothing else, I'll make some money in the short run and it's a whole lot easier to get a job if you already have one than if you haven't had one in nearly seven years.

that's good news, hope it all works out for ya

Thanks guys. For some reason, this back ground check thing keeps getting hung up and so I am now supposed to start on Monday. All in all, that's not a bad thing, but I'm just kind of anxious to get started.

Thanks guys. I finally started yesterday. It was pretty rough physically. My back was killing me after just a couple of hours, but I got through it. It will take some getting used to.

hang in there, hope it works out for ya

If it's the first time doing a lot of standing up for extended periods of time, in a long time, pain in your back and feet, etc is to be expected. Hopefully within the next week or so it gets easier. Congrats!

Congat's hang in there.

Just curious, what are you doing?
Selling Direct TV at a wholesale club right now, although the company I work for does several other big box stores as well. I can't name the stores for legal reasons that are above my pay grade, but my company contracts with Direct TV to market for them nationally.
