Eeff decided to nominate someone in the open boards with a bunch of tongue smilies after it, as if it were done on purpose.

So, as the rules clearly state if that were to happen the whole process will be called off.

You may thank eeff.
 
:( Well that is the rules. Unless you want to be like Nascar and change the rules anytime you want. LOL
 
I hate to do that too, we really wanted to make it so you folks could have a say on how the place was run.

Guess some people didn't like that.

I thought PM was supposed to be just that, Private?

Maybe a 2nd chance is in order. I've never (that I recall) seen eeff post anything as obnoxious as some. I think eeff was just wanting us all to go to a chat during the race, cuz I did get a PM about that link.

But it's up to you and the Mods.

AND, thanks for reinstating the nomination process.

Consistently the policy of no spamming or no unsolicited competing site promotion has been the rule.

That is the case in every instance I am aware of.
 
I get enough unsolicited email, I honestly don't want to get it here too. Pm should be for conversations that you would like to have with other members, not a way to advertise. While I agree with banning someone who abuses the PM I do think that there should be allowed a warning (I would hope to get one) As for the nominating the mod, It looked to me that Eeff did it as a joke. Regardless, the decision rests with Paul and the other mods, so whatever they decide is fine by me.
 
I know i read my email and it said not to nominate on the site. most of you know me and i thought about throwin a joke or two around, but, it said not to. banned, ? suspended, maybe to send a point about leading people away from our happy home. i didnt get a pm from him, i also dont know what he was telling others. if it was just informing others of another site, that could be healthy for all of us. (ideas and stuff) if it was promoting others and condemning our happy home, then he doesnt need to be here and probably wouldnt even know he was banned anyhow. hope this helps:D

His banning is not up for debate.

My question was incredibly rhetorical.
