about Jimmie Johnson "He needs to learn how to race. He has been able to out run everyone in the past, but he needs to learn to race when he can't."

not word for word, but you get the point of it.

Exactly! The only difference is five guys would come out and surround Kurt holding the tropies.

As I was trying to point out in the race thread...Kurt is a butt..plain and simple. He thinks he is God's gift to the racing world, when in reality he is average at best. He managed to pull off wining one championship and he thinks he is the best ever....whatever!

I think Kurt is 10x the racer Jimmie is. Don't get me wrong, Jimmie is good, but I don't think he is 5x good. I know I know he won them, but no way in hell does he win 5 championship racing for anyone but HMS and the 48 car.

He insulted his own team with that stuff of how Jimmie's winning because of the cars and stuff.

Kurt's an ass.

Remind me how many races Kurt has won again? oh yeah 23, Johnson has won 54....and Busch has been in cup a couple of years LONGER than Johnson...hmmmm....

Oh yeah their is the "equipment" arguement. It isn't like Busch has drove for Robby Gordon his entire career or something! He has drove for Jack Rousch and Roger Penske...two of the top teams in racing. So I am not sure I quite understand that either.

So I really don't think Kurt is 10x the driver Johnson is....I think Jimmie might be 5X the driver he is tho....:D

Well you are a HMS fan and I am not. So lets take that for what it is and just agree to disagree then.
 
All this talking is cheap oxygen loss, Jimmie's a smart dude he's not going to race the chase making bonehead risky maneuvers like what he did tonight, tonight was dumb driving by him for sure. Now that the chase is on it's time to get going, never mind Harvick & Kyle being at the top of the points, the 48 car is the one to beat...

Exactly. Tonight was a "I'm in the chase already and im pissed. Time to take it out on the dude"


And it is definitely time to remake that commercial. I forgot about it until you guys posted it up.

Jimmie has 19 chase wins an average finish 8.07
Kurt has 2 chase wins and an average finish of 13.71
Kurt has 23 career total wins, only four more than JJ’s Chase only wins.
So in a career that would limit Jimmie to almost to 1/5th of his Cup starts he would almost equal Kurt’s total win output.

Yes they both are cup champions but that is as close as the comparison will ever get, Kurt simply isn’t in Jimmie league, and to put him there is ignoring obvious facts.

A prediction: I’m thinking Jimmie had better have one chase race to throw away, and for that reason I don’t see number six happening this year. Kurt is a certified piece of garbage, and he will wipe Johnson out in one of the 2011 chase races.

Man I am not trying to be a jerk here, so please do not take it that way. But I don't see how who you are a fan of blinds facts. It is kinda like Dale Jr. fans. Many think he is the BEST ever, even though he has done next to nothing in his career.

Bottom line is numbers don't line, JJ has outshined Kurt Busch his entire career....

But enough of that...we can agree to disagree..and that is ok :D

Hmmm how do you know that? How do you know if some one else was in the 48 car other than Johnson for that time period they would of won 5 in a row? The chemistry between crew Chief, driver, and team is something most teams don't have, Johnsons' has it . There is the talent aspect also, like it or not Johnson knows how to drive and take care of his equipment. I don't even really like the guy, but I have to give credit where it is due and I think a lot of you don't give JJ enough.

Last year, Hamlin/Ford tried to get inside Jimmie's head ...... and failed.
You can't blame Kurt from trying to get inside JJ's noggin ......maybe he will succeed, but I wouldn't bet on it. I think it is more likely that JJ is already inside Busch's head, and that could be the reason Kurt hit the nail on the head, while his thumb was still on the nail head.;)

Well put. One thing though. Kurt is being Kurt. It's JJ who is acting out of character over nothing at all. His fit at Pocono was rediculous. He tries to knock Kurts fender off for 3rd place? Then goes out and wrecks a guy over a racing incident, and it's a guy he has wrecked many times in the past?

Strange indeed.

I think JJ carefully cultivated relationships with drivers as being a super nice guy, and then beat them all as they gave him respect. Kurt is messing with all that, and it seems JJ feels compelled to overreact to someone racing him hard and clean.
 
Sorry guys, I'm not a Hendrick fan or a JJ fan but to say Kurt is a better driver and that he couldn't win 5 without HMS is insane. Jeff Gordon, one of the best in the modern era, hasn't gotten 5 yet in HMS equipment and when he was younger and hungrier I'd say he had more talent and drive than JJ.

Kurts a hell of a driver. I've seen him take a crapped out and bent up car to a top 5 more times than anyone, but I don't think he's better than JJ.

Exactly. He isn't my favorite either but he is very underrated.
 
Well I like Kurt he's not Mr. Vanilla. If I still drank I'd rather be drinkin with Kurt that JJ, JJ would probably bore me to tears.

I think he's already in his head. JJ made a move to retaliate and failed miserably wrecking himself.
Now if JJ fails to get #6 this year he'll be quick to blame kurt for wrecking him at Richmond.....

Kurt is the one with much less to lose, he's mind-playing Johnson.

Shaking up JJ's complacency isn't a bad tactic, and will probably work. The deal is though, Kyle will be the one who benefits from a rattled JJ.

JJ is going to implode. Too much stress. He might act cool during the interview but this looks like the first time anybody got inside his head. Although Chad seems unconcerned sitting on his perch, he too, is ready to blow a gasket. IMO. and FWIW, which isn't much, JJ will not win #6.

My money is on Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch.

I don't beleive Kurt is running a JGR Toyota engine in his Dodge?

Anyone know if Dodge still running the old R6P8 engine from a few years ago?
