For the first time in 4 or 5 years I'm racing the entire season. Last Sunday I picked up my first ever heat win :bounce: .It was great. I started on the pole and jumped out to a comfortable lead. On lap 4 the caution came out and bunched the field back up. On the restart, I was first to get to turn one, but the second place car forgot to break and pushed me up out of the groove. I outbreacked him going into turn three and never looked back.

In the feature I was spun out going into turn one on the first lap of the race in an accident that took out half of the field. My front end was knocked out of wack and I retired to the pits. Who cares about that though. I finally got to see what it was like to win a race. :cheers:

I hope I will be able to report something like that in about a year !!
 
That rocks, I'm so ready for our season to get started up here. We have test and tune on the 7th of June and the first race is the following weekend. So what class are you running?

4cyl Sportsman. Kinda a run what you brung 4cyl class. The only rules that we have are intended for safty purposes. We run about the same lap times as the street stocks.

What class do you run where?

I am currently building a Wissota Street Stock, but I have been pitting for about six years now for a good friend of mine, we run a Wissota Late Model, now that the Sh*t nothing like it.

This your first time driving? I just love being there, in the pits or the stands. I have the fortune to race with a bunch of really good guys. Must be pretty cool to have the oppertunity to work on a Late Model, but right now I am happy where I am at. I make almost enough at the track to cover my expenses. Not to many classes can say that.
 
Yes, this will be my first time driving....I am so jacked I can hardly stand it. Even if I wasn't in the car though I would be out there working. You can't beat the atmosphere of Saturday night dirt track racing!
