I will admit in it in plublic

Well Robby is in my top 5 for sure, I really do like him. Really surprises me too. A couple years ago I didn't think I'd ever say that. I don't think he'll ever push the Gibbs boys aside for me, but I am liking him more. :D

It used to be i couldn't stand the guy, i disliked him more than Kurt Busch, but the last year or so he has grown on me. He has shown he can drive just about anything, i appreciate talent like that.

At first I thought he was an egotistical jerk. But, after learning more about him, he's really a nice guy. He can drive just about anything. He's still not my favorite, but i don't dislike him.

ROFLMBO!!!! Very funny Nascarwoman.

Yur all nutz!!!!! LOL
Just between you folks and the bed post, though,
I like Robby better now that I did at first. I think we all
have RCR to thank for teaching Robby some PR. LOL

He's prolly in my top 15.

I never liked him and don't see it changing. He's more tolerable than his teammate though.

i've had alot of respect for robby.
but after he made the "other gordon" whine not once, but twice. he moved real high on my list.
plus he's matured alot too.

That's pretty funny...I can't say I know anything about how he used to be egotistical...didn't follow it then, but everything I've seen has been pretty positive.

Robby Gordon was actually one of the first "outsiders" to join Nascar. He started competing in Nascar in 1993, running a few races a year, even though his first full season wasnt until 2002. He came in with an open wheel / off road background and wasnt a Southern boy, he's from California, so just as bad as Jeff Gordon was recieved among the Nascar loyalites because of his open wheel background and Californian style Robby was recieved that much worse.

Another thing where people thought he was egotistical was because Robby has excelled in every type of racing he has ever competed in until he came into Nascar in 1993. He expected to excel the same as in other series, but he didnt. He has matured since then though.

By the way, its absolutely hilarious how Jeff always has to complain about Robby, whether its legit or not. :)

I read some places that Robby G. ran a few races in his early years in NASCAR for Dale Earnhardt Inc., anyone know if that's true or not?

NASCAR.com has Robby's history on his driver page...
1991 he entered the 90 car in the Daytona 500 and the Pontiac 400
1993 the 28 Havoline car in the Die Hard 500
1994 the 07 for Kranefuss-Haas racing in the Miller 400
1996 the number 40 First Union car in three races
1997 in the 40 Coors light car for Team Sabco in 20 races
1998 one race in the 19 Caterpillar car
2000 17 races in the 13 car (which was Team Menard/Team Gordon)
2001 17 races in the Childress 31 Lowe's car
2002 36 races in the Childress 31 Cingular Wireless car
2003 ditto
that's all they gots...don't know if some of those early ones were for DEI or not.
