What cool non-points stuff would you like to see NASCAR do? I'd like a race at New Smyrna in January (something small, like only pole and race winners from the previous year). How about an Enduro? Get every truck, Cup, and Nationwide cars, and restrict the engines to 60mph. 100 laps, no cautions, some Saturday Night at a large stort track (between half and full mile).

My $0.02.

Put wings on'em and fly'em around the damn track.

Take my insane track idea that may defy the laws of physics, where you still turn left but the high part of the banking is on the inside.

Put the entire Cup field on dirt in late models @ Eldora.

I like it...I would like to see the cup cars themselves on dirt somewhere..something like an allstar race...you know...like in hockey where they play an oudoor game? Have the cup field on dirt a sort of return to your roots thing.

The Prelude to the Dream @ Eldora was great with the Cup stars running on the dirt. They packed the place with 40,000+. Too bad it hasn't continued. They had it for 8 years until they moved the truck race there. It doesn't look like it's coming back any time soon. :(

Have a race where all the hot wimmens have to take their tops off during yellow flag laps. That's the kind of exhibition fans like, and there would be no question there is actually debris on the track when the yellow comes out again and again.

I think if the truck attendance starts slacking off they will bring it back.

I'm not sure why they couldn't coexist.
I don't either. But I think that that's their business mentality. If they think that one race wont draw attendance from the other then I believe they will start running it again. It's all about the money and they weren't making as much off of the prelude because of the charity.

You mean Tony dumped the charity and went for the cash? That sucks.

I was trying to be nice. But I think it was probably Roger Slack that Tony hired away from Charlotte Motor Speedway where he was V.P. of Events to be the General Manager and Promoter of Eldora Speedway. He's a business man that thinks only in terms of dollars.

Geez, nascar took off the rear wing to end that practice. You been hiding under a seat or something?
This is what I want to see.

I always thought the IROC series would have been better if they held a race in each discipline of racing to give everyone an equal chance.... but that's a lot of $$$ to build many cars for exhibition.

I'm all over Mount panorama. Hell, go to some wide F1 tracks.

Might as well run the oval at Monza.

Or how about One Lap of Los Angeles. Interstate 405 from South interchange with Interstate 5 to to North interchange with Interstate 5 and back... on a Friday afternoon! ;)

Cup cars with studded tires on ice , on a oval , with the track slowly melting with each lap completed. No caution laps, 50 laps, and pit crews must wear a eye patch. Oh, and Wind beneath my wings must be sung by the driver during pit stops...

Winter exhibition in Australia. They did it once in Australia and ran "NASCAR Thunder Special" in Japan in the 90s.

NASCAR Winter Heat Series also needs to return.

Australia Australia Australia please.

Mt Panorama or Gold Coast street circuit.

If this gives you a taste, remember, these were Aussie drivers in a very short run series over here. Bring the Cup car and the Cup drivers.

I think that it'd be cool to run a separate series in addition to the regular cup series. The top twenty five cars in owner points would be given points each week depending where they finish . Say 1 point for first , 2 points for second , 3 points for third , and so on , right up tp 43 points for forty third . After Homestead , they would add up all the points and award cash prizes to the driver with the fewest points . I could get into that . It would be something for the drivers to fight hard for , when they don't have the car to contend for the win .

Race on closed off interstates, like get on I95 from Maine to Miami or something similar, to continue the crazy ideas.
