Interesting, albeit a better bike week idea.
Seen this show a couple times over the years.
You kinda get it after 1 minute.

Are'nt the Monster Girls already in the pits?

"Back in the day" track promoters in the Northwest had Evel Knievel jumping schoolbuses on the front straight.

Saw the guy half a dozen times. Loved it. So did everybody in the grandstand.

I love Monster already. Short track promoters do stuff like this to get fans in the stands all the time. And Humpy Wheeler was famous for bringing a circus-like atmosphere to races.

Monster Energy Girls are awesome features at Motocross Stadium events -- plenty of families attend those events. Pretty similar to the beer swilling NASCAR crowd.

In the words of John Candy, "I'm for it of course!"

Good. I remember going to races as a kid & they had all kinds of other events & festivities pre-race. That has since faded.

Happy to see its making a comeback. Score for Monster.

Metal Mulisha has been at every recent event that I've attended. Drift Mopars at LVMS drew a larger crowd. The audience numbers simply aren't there. Maybe Monster can bring the peeps. We will see.
I saw some NASCAR fans last night that were seemingly unaware of this year's new rules regarding pit road accident repair and the possibility of being eliminated from competition.
These weren't incredibly hardcore fans but their reaction was WTAF? They will be easily and voluntarily driven out of fanbase. NASCAR is in reverse.

Somebody mentioned earlier about Humpy Wheeler, well now that man knows how to put on a pre race show. I have been to a lot of 600's and he was a master at it. Before they put in that silly TV on a cable thing on the front stretch. There was some pretty spectacular military demos done pre race where they blew sh*t up (and scared the crap out of you) plus sent a few people to emergency care.. School bus jumps, monster trucks, etc. One of the absolute funniest was an old time outhouse that would run up and down the front stretch farting.

I enjoyed them all, made for a great day at the track, plus this helps get people in early and sells more drinks, beer, hamburgers and popcorn.

PS: I would have been at the 600 anyway with or without the pre-race activities, it was and is just a plus for fan appreciation.

Evel was the ultimate showman and always put on a great show other than the Snake River Canyon debacle. IDK if his son Robbie is still jumping or retired.

Even with snake river I think he tried to honor his commitments. Weeks before during the run ups He always seem to promote all jumps with some big talk and I respect his efforts at promotion. But he always seemed so somber or even terrified just prior to the actual stunts, even or especially with Snake River.

Total respect from me, he was a bad ass, and never walked away from the honest fear.

I wouldn't mind a more carnival atmosphere pre-race. The last few years, pre-race entertainment at the track has been lacking.

Why can't I appreciate this? My lack of motorcycle experience? Most of the tricks go by too fast for me to see what's actually being done.

It doesn't offend me, but I got bored after the first minute.or so. It wouldn't get me in my seat any earlier than I get there now (halfway through driver intros). I'd rather see Frisbee-catching dogs.

I remember when the most exciting pre-race thing I saw was the gigantic Food City shopping cart driving around the apron at Bristol.

I like the idea of Frisbee-catching dogs. Maybe catching Frisbees tossed by Monster girls?

The more entertaining distractions pre-race, the better for me as I get there early and don't drink or tailgate at the track.
