....the ASA race from Winchester's half mile semi high bank, you missed one heck of a race.
I watched part of it, but had to leave. Who won??

St. Amant took over the lead when Clanton got squirley after smacking another car with like 60 to go. Clanton got back on track but his right rear is caved in. Cuts the tire down within about 10 laps and is driving all over the place. Dives to the pits but St. Amant clip him and sends him spinning. Gets back on track 6 laps down in 4th with his spoiler flapping in the wind. At this time he was 4 points behind Gary for the trophy.
With 8 or 9 to go Kyle (running 2nd) loses a left rear wheel....just comes right off and starts rolling down the tracks.....
Green flag with 6 to go, Clanton running 4th. Kyle cannot get back on track, Clanton takes 3rd with one to go winning the trophy by ONE point.
Even the boys in nascar's race control could not have scripted this one any better.
It was a great race.

Well I'm thinkin Kyle's nuts.....he gets around Beedie for 2nd and then gets by Clanton who even tho he's 6 back without a spoiler is driving like a man possessed.....might be 12 to go at least half a lap back and he drives the dern wheel RIGHT OFF THE CAR!!!!!!
St. Amant may have been on cruise control but dern kid, settle for 2nd now and then eh?
He won his first Late Model start here at 15 but they took it away from him. Took like 15 Late Model wins in row here at Vegas the next year along with breaking his brother's qualifying record.
And we do roll the dice inverted starts! Saw him start last one night, get to the front, get black flagged to the back, and get back to take the win all in 25 laps one night.
Would have easily won the track championship if Jack hadn't tagged him. Jon and Greg best get on the stick or Kyle is going to be running Cup a lot sooner than people think.
