If You Could Only Root For One Driver, Who Would It Be?

I dont know, more than anything I just want to see a good race. I am on the side of any driver that can grant that wish.

On second thought I would like to see Dale Jr have one last really competitive up front race.
I would like to Matt Kenseth get a win this year, and run well in the chase.
I believe he is solid and still has wins in him., he deserves better imo. They are not necessarily my favorites just something I would like to see happen.

Larson may become my favorite though, I like the way he is races. He has as much raw talent as anyone racing, and the emotional maturity to live up to the promise.
He drives a Chevy, too.

He is not my #1 driver but I would like to see Joey get his championship before anyone at JGR actually wins one. ( I don't count a Nascar gimme)

One of the guys at the back of the pack.
Be good to have Danica Patrick a win before it's over.
Another win for guys on there way out.

I'd have to go with Chase at this point over Kasey just due to longevity of time left.

Kyle Busch obviously, only one I root for now. If he's out of it though I have a few I don't mind seeing win, but none of the drive a Ford.

Wouldn't put the blinders on for just one driver anymore these days. Been there done that. I really like Jimmie Johnson and brad keselowski... but there are several others I also want to see do well dale jr, stenhouse and bayne...

I'm a race fan mostly. With some highlights that I mentioned.

Jeff Gordon was my favorite driver until he stopped racing. Now, I don't really have a favorite driver. I'm having trouble picking a new driver to cheer for.

Part of me says I should cheer for Chris Buescher since he's from Texas, but he's not very competitive.

Another part of me says I should root for Chase Elliott since he's Jeff Gordon's successor, but I feel like he's trying to ride off of Jeff's popularity.

I used to root for Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. when he raced in the Kyle Busch series, but I haven't been able to root for him much in the Cup series for some reason. I feel like a bandwagon fan who only cares about him when he wins.

Ryan Blaney ran up front most of the Spring Cup race here at Texas, but he still races in the Kyle Busch series. I don't like that.

My dad still watches the Kyle Busch series, and is looking forward to seeing William Byron in Cup.

Nope, I follow many drivers. I had 3 drivers who were my favorites but 2 of them retired. I've had a second tier of drivers I cheer for but that group varies year to year. I've been through driver retirements and I've managed to move on to other drivers. I've seen fans of one driver loose interest in a race when their guy falls out or is having a bad day. My chances for cheering a front runner is much better when I follow more than one driver. One of the reasons I like racing is that you aren't stuck with the local team.

One thing that is different about Nascar than stick and ball is that fans can have a favorite driver or 6 and it is all good. Because there are so many college football teams I can root for more than one but in the pros I root for one team but can appreciate the talent of others.

since there is no 28 car
Followed Newman since he was a rookie, think he's on his last contract.
Erik Jones is going to be a force to be reckoned with

Love all of MY TRD powered Toyota Camry drivers, but it is always more special when Kyle Damn Busch wins. Always.
