If I owned my own team there would be no doubt in my mind who I would get---yes of course it would be Ryan Newman. not being biased or anything but the boy can flat drive a race car. Who would your pick be

Being as objective as I can, considering all factors on and off the track, I think my first choice would be Bobby Labonte. He can market, he has a positive image, he has the talent and experience, plus he ain't over the hill. And it's easier to understand what he says than with my driver.

Ha!HA!HA! You are just a barrell of laughs today Tn Ward Fan. Yeah B Labonte would be great and Dale Jarrett would be another but i wa thinking younger but Bobby isnt old though.

I would have to go with Newman too. I like how he doesn't talk too much and how he is so good on the track, any track.

i would have to go with tony stewart, kevin harvick or jimmie johnson
all very profitable for collectibles and competitive on the track;)

Now don't laugh. If I had my own team it would be a two car team.
Driver #1 (main) would be Geoff Bodine. He is still a good driver and in good equipment will win.I've known Geoff sence his modified days.
Driver #2 would be Carl Long. He is a good young driver who with good equipment could go for ROY. He lives apout 25 miles from me. I've known him for about 15 years. Back in the early '90s I races R/C cars with him at his dad's race shop in the winter.
These drivers wouldn't take my whole budget to buy out their contracts.
The cars would be Dodges

Let's see, if I owned my own team, I would want Hendrick Motorsports. I might not completely like that organization, but I'm not stupid either.

My second choice would be DEI. I'd switch Michael Waltrip for Dale Jr. and see how they both would run. Hehe.

Jeff Gordon or Junior - they're both light years more recognizable than anyone else in cup.

For maketabilty(sp) I would go with Kyle of course.
For talent I think i would go for Jamie McMurry or Jimmie Johnson. Ricky Craven or Johnny Benson would be one of my other choices for a second car

I would have to pick Kevin Harvick , Dale jr. Or dale Jerrett. They all run fairly good and sell a lor of diecast.

I think since I would want to go for the really long term I would go with Jon Wood or Brian Vickers, I would start with a couple three years in Busch and then to Cup. I would want Paul Andrews to chief and Doug Yates to build engines. It would be a FORD and I would pick Universal Studios to be my sponsor so that I could get free DVD's and unlimited possibilities for special paint schemes!

If I was to start wil a young driver that has not been in cup I would choose Joey Clanton or Daymond Lusk. They would be driving Pontiac's with DEI motors if possible. I would start them in BGN for at least 2 years. I would take any sponsor that would be willing but would make sure the car was not plain or ugly.

I would have a 4 car race team

Tony Stewart
Jeff Gordon
Ryan Newman
Ward Burton

I'd have a four car team

Jeff Gordon
Jimmy Johnson
Kurt Busch
Tony Stewart

It might be an interesting combination of styles and personalities.

Who do you people think you are having 4 car teams? Jack Roush?

I would have Jr and then newman.

Got to pick JR. that guy has handled both fame and tragedy very well.
Second pick would be Stewart, he has that I just wanna race and win attitude that I haven't seen since the late Dale SR.

Someone has to have a 4 car team Dinoforthe3, LOL just kidding.

5 Car team:

Kevin Harvick
Tony Stewart
Ryan Newman
Casey Atwood
Greg Biffle ( I know. Harvick/Biffle. But I'd make them be friends. Biffle is going to be a championship winner.)

They would be running Fords. Maybe I could somehow make the taurus look like a Mustang...

And if anybody needs a sub, of course I'll be there to fill the seat.

I think if i were to have a two car team i would want to have a good mentor to Ryan although he has Buddy Baker. But if I wanted to start a 2 car team i would also like to have Kyle Busch..... I think we have all forgotten about him.

I didnt forget about Kyle, I just heard he is much like his brother and I dont want a driver that I am gonna have to babysit or make excuses for. Jon Wood comes from great stock and his head is pretty much on straight. If I could bring myself to go with the veterans I would choose Ron Hornaday and Dale Jarrett.
