I'll have another

Bad left front. If he was a dirt race car, there wouldn't be a problem.:D

it's a shame. now we'll never know how good he really is.

I will echo your comment, too bad we didn't get a chance to see if he could do what not other horse has done in about 34 years.

I really hate this for die-hard horse racing fans. I'm not one of them, but I get how passionate some of them are and how much a triple crown winner would mean to them.

They have bred throrobreds to the extreme, making them faster and faster. The cost is they, the horses, become very susceptible to injury. But not to worry, they treat that horse like a king, and insure him for a king's ransom too. They bought him for 11k, more than likely spent hundreds of thousands getting him to where he is. Now the conservative estimate is he'll make 30-40 million in stud fees, a major loss considering he would have made hundreds of millions in stud fees if he was a triple crown winner. Everybody wins,,except for the animal.
We've had a number of horses we've rescued, give me a good ol' American quarter horse any day. Dakota thought he was a dog, even tempered, ready to please, never a problem. The throrobreds all seemed to have mental issues even DeNiro who we had for 17 years. Nuttier than a sack of peanuts at times.
