The hubby and I came home late yesterday. He was going to in-patient rehab and do out-patient chemo. Insurance twits said "no."

The Houston doc happened to have a patient in common with an oncologist here, so she got us hooked up here at home. We met today and will have the next treatment on Wednesday. My hubby is much happier at home. He can get up and down when he wants and is doing a good bit of walking-- with a walker of course. Slow and steady.

His major complaint is the pressure sore on his skinny butt. It hurts.

Great news glad your home I sure understand the hospital deal, home is way better. Is there anything for him in Tyler?

blue, the meds required for his chemo are available here, and the neuro-oncologist in Houston recommended the doc here, 15 minutes is much better than an hour to Tyler.

glad you're both back home trl. it's much better doing out patient treatment as much as possible. continued best wishes for you both. :)

Great to have everyone home. It's much better to be home than in some hospital. Continued good wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.:beerbang:
