I just bought 3 new Christmas cds. Bluegrass, Irish, and a mix of mountain and celtic. I just love them and I'll be playing them till Jan! The kids and the hubby are just going to love me! :) Anyone else playing the holiday music just yet. I'm planning on getting the tree up in the next few days!

I try but if I buy something they either find it or I end up giving it to them early! I just love this time of year and really get into it---can't you tell! :)

Yes, I can tell, but it's not a Holy Day I celebrate although I honor those who do.

I respect that and thank you for it. I try to make it special for the kids. We have several traditions we do every year. We go to a tree farm every year and pick a tree. I decided to go to a different one last year---big mistake! I pull up and get out of the truck and the guy hands me a hand saw. Yes, this is a real cut you own tree farm. We look for about a hour and then we pick on and I start to cut. Needless to say after about 20 minutes we yelled timber then I get to load it and pull it back from--you guessed it-- the back of the farm. I also cut more than just the tree in the process, my hand decided it needed to lose some blood to sympathize with the tree! They guy couldn't believe I had cut that tree by myself. Did he really think I would go home with no tree! :p Of course my husband thought it was very funny  I also cut my own tree when I was carrying my oldest daughter, threw it over the fence and loaded it in the car. Then bring it home and put it up myself. But I still love Christmas!

I feel ya sgbg88...I just copied about 5 christmas cd's so I can have have them in my truck. I love everything about Christmas. It has lost just a little bit of it's luster since my folks passed away as they were a big part of the celebration. But now my kids are adding even more to the joy of the season. All part of the circle of life I suppose. Maybe a little early yet but...

Merry Christmas

And...

Season's Greetings

to whom Merry Christmas doesn't apply ;)

We had a couple good days of snow here in the past week. But to me Christmas spirit really hits high gear when there is the first really good coat of snow on the ground. :)
