Some of you may know that I have been having some serious back problems for 3 1/2 years now. I was injured at work in June of 2004. Bridgestone-Firestone has been screwing me around pretty much ever since. I continued to work for them for 2 years until they fired me because of the worker's comp suit. I was underemployed because of my back until September of 2007. I finally reached a financial settlement with them last week. Unfortunately, I am still unable to work even an office job because I can't sit, stand or walk for very long at a time.

Fortunately, my wife just got a new job at the same place she has been working. It is a nice pay increase and it has great medical benefits. Of course, she still makes about half of what I made when I was the working one of us. It seems like the perfect time for a home based business for me. I have a little money from the settlement that I can use to start whatever business I get into. A lot of these business I see advertised seem like scams and/or pyramid scheme type of operations where you only make good money if you recruit people to work for you.

Do any of you operate a business from your home or do you know anyone who does? Or do you just know of any that seem legit? I have been in retail/auto repair management for most of my life. I have also sold mortgages, insurance, etc. in the past.

I would appreciate any input from any of you. Thanks, Chris
