Got a bad burn on the ferry coming back to the states. I laid up on the upper deck for a few uhm...hours and am paying the price.

I can't move and I think I'm starting to halucinate.

Hi, Paul! Sorry to hear about your burn, but I think you're right about the hallucinations. This is chicken-farmers.net and, frankly, we've never heard of ya.

:xxrotf:

Welcome back, Paul. :D

Thank you.

Even standing makes my shins feel like they're broken. It feels like I'm wearing a brillo pad for a shirt. :(

Hey Paul, if you want to be that big of a Jr. fan, just paint yourself red!:p You don't have to go to such extemes to inpress your man Jr.!!! hahah By the way welcome back

Welcome back Paul,
Sorry to hear you got fried, being here in Fl it happens often, vinegar is a good thing for taking the pain out. Run a tub with cool water and some brown vinegar in it and soak yourself in there for a while. Might help ya' some.

Oh, sweetie, I've been there and done that. If you have a cotton T-shirt, soak it in cold water, that will help take the heat out. Also, white vinegar will do the same. (but it smells, LOL)

Above all, do not put any moisturizer on. The oil base will keep the heat in.

Find a spray disinfectant like you use on cuts --- they usually have a topical analgesic that will take away some of the pain.

ALOE GEL, preferably from a live plant. Soothes the pain, helps the peeling that you will go thru. Believe it or not, a couple of aspirin will also help.Glad you had a good time, purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
also try this, hehehe, then you won't feel a thing except the munchies.

I never knew vinegar would take care of a burn...

Taking some Tylenol and a bottle of Aloe is by my side.

Drinking lots of fluid too...

Paul, sweetie, just make sure no alchohol.. it dehydrates you BIG time. Water and juices are good. PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Welcome back, paul. :)

Noxema works well too; just slather it on thick.

Originally from St. Augustine, Florida. The vinegar works. We used to tell our Northern Guest, that enjoyed the Sun too much, to take a cool bath with Vinegar mixed in the water. They always thought we were pulling thier leg and would'nt try. Too bad for them, they were the ones in pain not us.

i'm sure your gurl friend will be there to help ya, by just her smile.:)

Being a natural born redhead sunburns were a way of life for many years.

Teh vinegar will help, but all remedies are short term pretty much. The pain eases for a while and then... time will heal.

The real fun part is taking a shower, there is no correct water temperature.

Hope your tri was a great one, adn the most surprising part is that you wer somewhere there was enough sun to burn ya...Consider yourself lucky!:D

Minus the sunburn, I hope you had a great time Paul. Ive had some bad ones before, and really time is all you can do to make it better.

I'd a red head too. My grandmother heard that to get tan better you need to cover yourself in milk then sit in the sun. Ya, it didn't work. The milk just turned sour and people said that is what she smelt like for weeks (more than one)!! Sorry to hear how burnt you are. Been there.

66 do u have green eyes? red hair and green eyes have always been appealling to me. lol
