Imagine awaking to this

I saw that on the news last night. The first thing my wife said was, "that's why we have an RV". :D

Had a bear outside my tent before but wouldn't care for the Lions.

Most I ever outside my tent is a couple of skunks.
We had those one year, they were actually pretty tame. We kept feeding them hot dogs. One of them was an albino skunk. I asked the park ranger if they ever stunk up the place and he said the only time they had a problem was when a dog got after them.

They didn't bother us. They were just after our food.

My scout troop when I was younger had a bear tear through some tents

Thats awesome! Quite the experience!

I used to love lying out in the yard on a lounger just watching the stars slide by. The occasional plane, some times a satellite would flit past. There was a hole in the fence and the neighbourhood cats and dogs would wander on through. Well, I hear something pull itself through the hole and head in my direction, so I drop a hand over the side of the chair and sure enough something furry comes wandering up for a snuffle. So I start to scratching ... and it starts to wiggling. I find an ear and sure enough ... whatever it is, it's loving the attention. There isn't an animal on earth that doesn't love being scratched behind the ears. Well it starts to move about under my hand, finding all those itchy spots 4 leggers can't quite reach .. I've got a beer and the sky so I oblige and scratch away. After about 15 minutes my beer is empty and the mosquitoes are tracking in. They don't like me much but not all of them have such high standards ... I don't mind a few bites, if they're willing to risk the food poisoning ... but I hate it when they buzz my ears. So I pull my hand up ... knowing the dog under me will wander off. I don't move in case I startle it in the dark. I know it's not a cat. Wrong shape. Well sure enough, it wanders off .. and that's one arthritic dog. I pull my flashlight to get a look at it, in case I need to catch it for it's own sake. Well ... in the light it's walking really wobbly for a dog ... but that's how skunks walk.
