Indianapolis GP curcuit

when will the Indianapolis curcuit owner realise that it is time to make alterations to the final corner on the curcuit. Yes it is the drivers responsibility and yes it is a fast corner but if Michelins tyers can not cope they should be kicked out of F1 and Goodyear should be bought back in. One other thing why is there a concrete wall on the main straight it should be a grass extension.

when you say changing the "final" turn at indy do you mean doing something to the banking or adding a chicane before the turn?

they cant change the turn...the US Grand Prix sits 3rd on the todem poll when it comes to races at Indy. If you changed the turn, you ruin the racing for 2 races that draw huge amounts of people, The Indy 500 and The Brickyard 400.

what amazes me, is the cars were unsafe to race...and the teams did the right thing by not racing, and not risking the lives of their drivers....and have been summoned to Paris by F1 and could be punished for not racing....In other words F1 wanted their drivers to race in unsafe conditions....its absurd......i feel bad for the fans and F1, Indy, and Michellan should give the fans their money back.

Michelin flat screwed the pooch on this one.

They didn't do their homework, brought the wrong tire compounds, so the drivers and the fans paid the price for their screw-up ---- pure and simple.

I think Michelin did mess up on this one, but the drivers should not have just pulled off the track on the warm-up laps like that. The drivers instead should have just been more careful going through turn 13. I don't think if they did have tire problems that any of the drivers would have been seriously injured. In the end Michelin screwed up big time.

Michelin was at the heart of it for sure, but the teams were at fault for not racing. They could have done any number of things. Have the drivers slow down in that turn. Change their line. Change the setup. Bring the cars in for frequent tire inspections. Of course all of it at the expense of not being as competitive. But no. They wanted the FIA to make it easy for them and cancel the race. But it backfired on them. They all got zero points.
At the very least they should have raced until tire inspections forced them to park the cars. Like Ferrari did a few races ago with Michael. First they changed the left rear, but then the left front showed problems and since the rules only allow one wheel to be changed, they pulled out.

What I can't understand is why some of the fans and experts put some of the blame on Ferrari and make fun of Jordan and Minardi. They lived up to their commitment and should be applauded.

The Speedway is also totally blameless. So is the FIA. Michelin screwed up, but the seven teams screwed the fans.

Why do bridgestone not have a problem with the tyres yet Michelin do. Fair enough they can say they havent got many banked turns in europe But that would just be a total lie you have to look no further than Rockingham in England if you dont know what it is it is basically a NASCAR curcuit in england where they run NASCARS every month. Back to F1 either Michelin should be punished or FIA inspect their methods of manufaction.
