Hi guys, attending the "500" next year for my first time. Doing it right and spending a ton of time in Indiana. Going to the Grand Prix and the Little 500... what other events typically happen around the area the week before the big dance?

Check this out. They also have a 500 parade downtown. And the Indy museum, and south of the track, there are race shops on Gasoline Alley road.

There's several teams in Park 100 on the NW side also.

The Indy Museum is closed for renovations in 2024 Iast I checked, prove me wrong.

I'd do a race shop tour and Carb Day. Also make sure you get there early, the most insane crowd I've ever seen

Back again in 2021 is the Carb Night Classic, racing on the Friday night before the Indianapolis 500! This event continues the tradition of racing at the Lucas Oil Raceway oval ahead of the Indy 500.
