indy series to use heat races...

I remember sitting outside under the shade tree listening to the Indy 500 on the radio. My dad always had his clipboard and scored the race.

It's been quite a fall since those days. Now they're gonna run heat races like a Saturday night program at Eldora. Next they will start running the school buses after the feature!
 
Except for the old classic Indy months of May, qualifying has never been that great.


I would prefer heats all the time in cup or Indy. It would cut down on the start and parks, and force entries to race their way in to the show.


Line up the the top 10 in points plus any season winners in the back, and get some up front TV time for those needing a boost.
Those guys qualifying to start in the back are the only provisionals.



Of course drivers would hate it, but it would provide more value for fans.
 
I would like to see Nascar run the races in nine different sections . Call each section an inning and get all the fans to stand up and stretch after seven.

Haha! I'm for that!....as long as we can have a schoolbus race at the end of the program - or a "train" race :).

P.S. - living in Atlanta now and I really miss going to the Colorado track north of Denver. They even had a figure-8 division...plus buses, trains and once a year..towed campers.

When I lived in Colorado Springs I went up to Colorado National Speedway quite often. There was some good racing there, thoise figure 8s were nuts! The trains were fun ther first couple of times, but after that they got old. Nice track they always put on a good show.

We already have "Train Racing".... unless it changes this time around at Daytona.;)
