This series on Racer.com has been extremely interesting to me. Randy Bernard was the last one to jump in and give an opinion of what the sport should be going forward.

Some key points from these "opinions," at least the way I look at it.

1) We may want to re-visit the idea of a front engine machine so grass roots guys don't go straight to NASCAR
2) Speed may not be essential in races. But it may be essential in oval qualifying.
3) Opening up the rulebook to attract manufacturers should be considered on ovals or at Indy.
4) IndyCar needs more events, more big events... just more events.
5) American drivers and staying unique from NASCAR & F1 are key to the sports regrowth and survival.
