Completely unrelated to all the gushing about how great Nationwide is at Road America, I went to the Speed Channel website to get the results of the IndyCar heat sprint at Iowa, and lo and behold, Robin Miller has written a new article about IndyCar returning to Road America. Sounds like there's a real chance, with some caveats. RA President George Bruggenthies is trying to actively get IndyCar to return next year, even with some help from Bobby Rahal.

The worst news being that the RA deal is dependent on IndyCar returning to Milwaukee, which I assumed would be a given, but apparently not.

I read that the other day, and was also surprised to read that Michael's contract with Milwaukee was up this year. I hope he re-ups. We've been noticing all of the ferris wheels at every race since we went to The Mile (Le Mans, Sonoma) :)
