Sh!t. We're racing in Denton on saturday. Which means I have to pass right by the track around 3PM, and come back on the way home between 11PM and 3AM.

Totally skipped my mind.

I haven't seen any kind of promotion around here for these races this week-end.
 
Here's hoping for a safe race. Track is very fast and unforgiving.

Are they two trophies by the way and is it cut and half or half the size it use to be haha. Anyway seems like a good race so far
 
The racing was good which it always is at Texas, but this 2 race stint and the draw was exactly what I said it would be when this dual race was announced... A GIMMICK ! The draw was absolutely dumb and discredits the series in my opinion. Bernard gets an "F" for this idea. May we never see this again.

Was it Bernard's idea or Eddies? I figured it was one of Eddie's, being a gimmick and all

It did make for an exciting start to the second race, though. However, after watching Dario's interview, I get his frustration. If, like he says, he loses champoinship point positions to Will Power as a result of these races, he will be "pissed".
 
I don't know about you guys but the regular format of racing was much better than this gimmick. They spent way too much time on drawing the numbers, just do it off stage and be done with it. I thought that the second race would of been a lot better, but it fizzled in my opinion.

dario is right about the huge impact that this could have on the point standings. if you're going to have a gimmick like this it needs to be in a non-points paying race. there's just too much at stake to leave it to a random draw.

how full were the stands? We went by the track right at 11:30, and there was hardly any traffic on the interstate.
 
I think the drivers would have been more happy about the 2 races if they had just inverted the field for the 2nd race.
