Staying with the race, just as your headed to commercial, when a wreck happens. What a concept.

TNT should watch ESPN and take notes.

Agreed. However, Scott Goodyear could go bye-bye. Something about him just grates on me the wrong way. Donno why.

Oh?! Not exactly any love lost between Helio and Dario...Didn't notice what he was talking about with Helio. Anyone else see what he is talking about?

I didn't see it, but Dario is turning into a big whiner anymore.

Yeah, I don't recall Dario complaining much in the past (although I don't pay much attention to that sort of stuff) so I find it a bit surprising. I'm just curious as to the legitimacy of the whining.

Maybe being married to a Judd for about 10 years is beginning to take it's toll on his patience.

I didn't notice anything, but it seems there is some difference of opinion between fans and the drivers/officials as to what constitutes blocking. I disagreed when they penalized Helio at Edmonton, and I didn't see any of what Dario was talking about today.

Nontheless, another pretty good race checked off by the Indy cars.

I think a bigger question is why wasnt Dario penilized? Earlier in the race Sato struck his crew member and equipment and had to serve a pass through penalty. Later Franchitti hits Powers tire and the announcers scream on air that, that is supposed to be a penalty. Yet I didnt hear any word on why there wasnt.

How can this race exist much longer with about 15k in he stands?

I was wondering the same thing.

From SPEED.com:

INDYCAR: Milwaukee Return In Doubt

The return of Indy cars to the Milwaukee Mile was an aesthetic success on the track but a financial flop at the box office.

Sunday’s 225-lapper had everything we have come to expect on that flat, tricky, one-mile oval: Good hard racing, plenty of passing, a few crashes and the handling of cars going off like Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men.

Unfortunately, there were too few people in attendance to appreciate the drives of Dario Franchitti, Graham Rahal, Oriol Servia, Will Power, James Hinchcliffe, Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan as only an estimated 13,000 turned out on Father’s Day.

“It was a great race, exactly what everyone told me it would be,” said INDYCAR CEO Randy Bernard after watching his first race at the nation’s oldest track. “Obviously, the crowd was pretty disappointing and I don’t want to give up on it yet but I’m also not willing to say we’re going to bring it back.

“We made some mistakes and learned some lessons and now we need to do some evaluating.”
