IndyCar returning to Brazil in 2015

They stopped racing in Brazil?

Last year was the final race for Sao Paulo.

So they haven't 'stopped' racing yet they just 'wont' got it. That sucks. I vaguely remember hearing that news. Glad they're coming back though. Great venue for foreign Indycar.

Rough translation but it looks like March 8, 2015 will be the date of the first event of a five-year contract to race at Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in Brasilia.

Good news.

It's too bad they're tearing down the Emerson Fittipaldi Speedway (oval) at the Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet that CART raced at from like 97 to 01. From my understanding it is being torn down to make room for the swimming complex for the 2016 Summer Olympics. I thought that was a great high-speed oval for IndyCars, although it was kind of poorly maintained even when it was new and would need SAFER barriers and the like.

But, I'll settle for the Nelson Piquet road course.

I wonder if this is apart of the IndyCar world tour thing they've been talking about or if Brazil will be apart of the 'regular season'.
