Congrats to Graham Rahal. He gets the pole for this race.

Well Dario Franchitti and Helio Castroneves had good qualifying times but both were penalized for driving below the white line during qualifications. So they have to start at the back of the field. That is bad for them. This moved Danica up to P3, inside row 2.

Here is the starting grid..

1. #02 Graham Rahal
2. #06 Robert Doornbos
3. #7 Danica Patrick
4. #9 Scott Dixon
5. #26 Marco Andretti
6. #5 Mario Moraes
7. #6 Ryan Briscoe
8. #11 Tony Kanaan
9. #4 Dan Wheldon
10. #20 Ed Carpenter
11. #67 Sarah Fisher
12. #23 Milka Duno
13. #27 Hideki Mutoh
14. #14 Vitor Meira
15. #2 Raphael Matos
16. #24 Mike Conway
17. #18 Justin Wilson
18. #13 EJ Viso
19. #98 Stanton Barrett
20. #21 Ryan Hunter-Reay
21. #10 Dario Franchitti
22. #3 Helio Castroneves

good to see Rahal on the pole, although I'm still pulling for a strong finish for AGR. Also very good to see IndyCars back on ovals. Don't get me wrong, I'm an F1 fan too and like the road/street courses, but I can't believe they only run one oval race before Indy!

 Holy **** Milka found how to run a good lap. All i can say is Helio, Dario and the rest of the cars in the back better be carefull with Milkdud starting in the middle of the field

It wont take long and they will pass her.:D

Given the weather, I guess we can assume it will be rained out. The truck race is tentatively rescheduled for Monday but it's supposed to be raining then too. What does that leave IndyCars, Tuesday? Wednesday? I wish they'd run this race next weekend instead...

about an hour and a half before race time and it's not raining yet...

Im hoping for clear skies or at least no rain. I am also hoping Danica can keep Scott Dixon behind her at the start. He is right beside her in row 2.

I just checked weather.com. It doesn't look good, rain and tornado/storm warnings are coming :(

You'd think they would've stepped up the start to try and get it in

I can't believe it didn't rain!
Congrats to Scott Dixon and crew :beerbang:
good run for team AGR, all 4 cars in the top 10

Congrats to Scott Dixon.Danica had a great day today, finishing 5th. I look for good things this year and at the Indy 500.
And what a comeback for Helio Castroneves. Starts at the back of the field, has a small mishap with Vitor and had to pit to replace the nose of his car and finishes 2nd. Great job.

You guys were all outstanding at that time. You should have seen helio. He was superb. Too bad the rain did not come.

Probably a typo I would assume. ;) I'm so glad Helio is back! I decided I was going to have to have Graham Rahal as my favorite, but now I have him, Helio and Dario. I'm excited to watch again! :)
