To bad they waste it running roadcourses when they should be on ovals

What don't you like about road course racing? Not enough drafting or fatalities?

they can't stay on the track with what they have now, this should be interesting.

Indycar has had this kind of power before and it worked out. They were up there with F1 in regards to prestige at the time also. The series is currently on the upswing in popularity. Hopefully this trend continues into 2021.

Open wheels on roadcourse are about the boringest racing there is. Spread out and no passing yawn.

The fun of the IRL is going the boring way of Champcar.

They had it, but they lost it when they started losing ovals every year.

The pack racing at intermediates and two-milers is just too much for these cars. I'll forever kick myself for not attending the 2014+ Fontana races because I knew that tracks days were numbered. But damn dude they really do put on a great show everywhere they go. I can appreciate people calling F1 boring because some times it's just ridiculous. Lewis Hamilton has finished 1st or 2nd in like 9 races straight. Indycar is extremely competitive regardless of the push-to-pass and the talent pool is getting very deep again, finally.

They think more power will make for more passing. Good experiment.

if they go without traction control and many wingy thingys they will be even more uncontrolable. It is push to pass HP so there is that. They can regulate non push to pass regular HP and they will I would guess.

Regardless of how one feels about ovals versus road courses, it makes no sense to keep holding events that are financial losers. If people showed up at ovals, they'd go there. People show up at road courses and street circuits and the promoters are happy, so they go there. They can't do this stuff out of charity.
