"The Charlotte Observer is reporting that the Speed Channel will add a
Busch Grand National version of its popular "Inside Winston Cup" show to its lineup this year. The show will air on Wednesday nights before the rewind
of the weekend's Winston Cup race. Randy LaJoie and Hank Parker Jr. will be regular guests on the show, with a third panelist rotating each week. Allen Bestwick, who also hosts the Winston Cup show, will be the host"
I am hoping this will not replace Speed Channels "former champions" 1/2 hour seg that they had on before the race replay. I enjoyed that. I'm sure I will like this new show as well.
"Hermie Sadler has landed a full-time Busch Series ride with Team Bristol Motorsports, NASCAR Winston Cup Scene reporter Rick Houston has learned. Sadler, a 33-year-old Emporia, Va., native, ran six Busch Series races and 10 Winston Cup events in 2002, while concentrating on his family and daughter, Halie Dru, who was diagnosed with autism in 2000. Sadler hasn't competed regularly on the Busch Series since 2000, when he made 16 starts for Innovative Motorsports owner George de Bidart. He has raced in the series since 1992 and has two career wins. Team Bristol Motorsports owner Rick Goodwin is expected to hire a crew chief in the next couple of days."
Go Hermie! My favorite of the Sadler brothers
"Chris Bingham will have a lot to prove when the ARCA RE/MAX Series rolls into Daytona International Speedway next month. Bingham's performance will determine whether or not the new driver for Jay Robinson Racing will compete in the NASCAR Busch Series opener in Daytona. NOTE: If NASCAR doesn't approve Bingham, Derrike Cope will be in the #49 car. "
This particular owner has no regard for any driver and Cope and Bignham would do well to look elsewhere. In the two previous seasons Robinson has fired/released no less than 5 drivers.
