Not much has been made of this and I hope I am right by saying this. But the California and Las Vegas races are on back-to-back weekends. I would think the teams will just stay out there for the two weeks since it would be almost impossible to come back to NC, unload cars, and then around and go back. Maybe some teams will try that. With the COT, the cars are more universal. The test sessions at Vegas and California confirmed that with teams taking two cars and running both at both tracks. I think the teams will do the same the next two weekend unless cars are crashed. Then a backup hauler will bring out another car. It will be interesting to see if the teams do keep their trucks out there and how it will all work out. I didn't like the idea of consecutive weekends for these races, but maybe this will lead to something.

I was wondering the same thing....i would bet the hauler's would have to stay out there and they would bring in other cars via a backup hauler or what not.

The COT's proven to have done it's job.

This is the first time California and Vegas have been back-to-back, isn't it? There's normally a week off there.

That said, I see the Nationwide Mexico race is in April (4/20 to be exact:eek:) and is on ESPN and I see the Memphis race isn't set for broadcast this year, so far.

:XXROFL:

The schedule I have says the race this weekend is in Ontario, California.

i know at tMS, they bring the texas cars out in the primary haulers for the race, and on sunday night they dispatch out backup haulers and most teams swap cars in the parking lot. Some even use pickups for the transport so they use the texas car for their pheonix backup.

There normally is a week off. NASCAR doesn't really want a week of the 3rd weekend of the season. But they got some help this year with Easter being when it is. But if this goes over well, we'll see this again next year. It might not be a bad idea to do that again, take a week off, then do another west coast double in Phoenix and one other race to keep from going to Atlanta and Bristol so early when it's either 78 or 38.

i remember the mexico race always being a logistical nightmare. I remember they had backup haulers meet the big hauler in texas and change cars before they crossed the border

they all meet in Laredo and cross in groups of like 5 or 10.
