Terry Labonte has the honor of having the most years between his first and last Cup start (36) and being the only driver to drive in five different generations of car (2 through 6). Talk about seeing it all!

    Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Also, he won his second championship 12 years after his first. I always thought that was pretty wild.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kurt make the record 16.

Morgan Shepherd actually has 44 years between his first (1970) and last (2014) Cup start.

I just listened to the Dale Jr podcast with Texas Terry on it....... he sounds like a cool dude, comes off as very likable and humble.

    That’s a great episode.

Maybe I’m biased - Terry was my guy. But that episode was awesome.

You couldnt have done much better than Texas Terry as your guy. Excellent choice.

Yes! I saw him win twice (Dega ‘97, Texas ‘99). Great days.

Terry has always been one of my favorite people in NASCAR. Pure class. If he could have gotten into HMS equipment earlier in his career, he might have another championship or two. There were some lost years in the middle of his career. Even when he was with Junior, that team was kind of in decline. His consistency in a good car could have paid real dividends in 1992.
