I think most people know by now that Jayski's site is owned by ESPN. All season long, he was reporting the ratings for the races, most were up on Fox and TNT. I think Indy was about even with last year, but others have been down and those have not been reported on his site.

I've said all along that if ESPN's ratings were down when Fox was up, they'd make wholesale changes nexy year. I'm sticking to that. But few people know the ratings are down.

My wife can't stand to watch a race on TV. She does get a kick out of DW. When we had one of the races on a few weeks ago, she commented how boring the ESPN guys are and she doesn't like them. When will ESPN own up to it?

ESPN seems to be a brick wall when it comes to ratings.

The ratings fell last year when the races moved to ESPN. Now, once again, notice the sharp decline. ESPN's ratings are down last year, from last year's low.

Andy Petree needs to go. Allen Bestwick should be in the booth. I think Rusty's improved over the course of the past 6 months as well. Allen, Rusty and Jarrett would be a solid lineup in the booth.

Andy and DJ are great together --- they almost finish each other's sentences.
Alan would mesh with them.

Dr. Punch and Rusty would go well together down in the infield studio.

Are you kidding?

Brad's antics are one of few the high points of ESPN's broadcasts. He shows something nobody else at ESPN does: enthusiasm, interest.

Smart woman. :) There was a time when I'd plunk down in my chair and watch every race. Not so much now, I DVR it and watch at my convienence. And I fast forward through all the talk and commercials.

I don't know if it's the networks, their announcers or if the racing of late simply sux. But it seems a lot of people aren't watching according to the ratings, even track attendence overall is down.

I'm sick of the cut-away car, seeing computer generated air flow over the cars and hearing tight/loose explained for the umpteenth time.

Maybe if they went into detail of how tire air pressure changes spring rate and how that change affects handling. Same with wedge and track bar adjustments. Go into some detail, educate the new fans, make it interesting.

I stand corrected on one thing. Jayski does have something on the front page about California ratings. Yes, they are down too. But that's the first time in several weeks those have been on the main page.
