Interesting video for you conspiracy theorists

Well... if it is.... then theyre favoring my drivers :D Works for me lol

That said I disagree completely. Its all speculation.

Hence the term conspiracy theory

Just opening a thread about something other than waiting for the race on Sunday or driver gloating. Makes the week go by faster. Personally, I dont believe NASCAR is rigged per say, but there is no denying the caution inconsistency, oddly timed debris cautions, NASCAR favoritism, and coincidental wins. Even as a kid going to races in Charlotte, I noticed that JJ seemed to win alot at LMS when his sponsor was Lowes.

I want to be the fly on the wall if the guy who made this video asks Cale Yarborough if the 1979 Daytona 500 and 1984 Firecracker 400 were rigged.

Also, this has very very little to do with NASCAR, but I couldn't resist mentioning this due to my rooting interests...

The video said look for "interesting" developments when a new TV deal begins, and posted a picture of a Penguins player. In the first year of the current run of NBC televising the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Carolina Hurricanes won the Cup. I bet THAT was a ratings bonanza.

Easy to find the "coincidences" and ignore what doesn't fit the narrative, but it's also disingenuous.

There is truly tons of money in NASCAR advertizing and sponsorship. If other major sports opened up to the same lead as NASCAR with team sponsors and such NASCAR would be dropped like a hot rock. I can see it now, "Introducing the 2014 San Diego Dodge Dealer's Chargers". Fixes can and do happen, however, I doubt it happens as often as eluded to.

Every race I've been to at Charlotte, JJ has won.

If it was fixed, Gordon would have always dominated and won at Dover when DuPont was his sponser.

I can debunk this in a matter of seconds. Earnhardt Jr., the most popular driver in NASCAR doesn't have a championship. I mean think about it, if Earnhardt Jr. won a championship, NASCAR would be drowning in money, literally drowning.

Yep! And, instead of just sitting on the pole at Daytona, Danica would have won it.

Earnhardt fans stick around and buy merchandise and memorabilia regardless of whether or not he wins.

Let's not pretend NASCAR is short on money either.

If she had dropped down in front of Jr like she should have and let Jr and Mark Martin push her to the lead then she may have won it, and then the black helicopters would really be flying.:)

I found is suspicious that NASCAR extended the chase field for no apparent reason after the year Earnhardt didn't make the cut. Raised my eyebrow. Then there is Jr's first win with a HMS car. He passed the pace car several times under caution & NASCAR just slapped him on the wrist to keep him in position to win. JJ dominates LMS while the company sponsored the race. Then there is the Daytona 500 NASCAR denied from Mark Martin, but nearly the exact same finish happens at this years 500 while Jr is in the lead but NASCAR throws the yellow this time?! Also, Danica gets the Daytona pole 1 year & then the rookie 3 car gets it the next? It does get you thinking doesn't it?

Don't forget Nascar made it rain this past weekend also... so that another rookie Larson could get the pole. I'm so confused.:D

NASCAR makes money from Air Titan 2 while they control America's weather doomsday device. Genius

...but you have to wonder if at some point in the history of the sport, they actually got the fix in.

I would wager in that yes. Back in the day alot of fishy things went on. No doubt about it.

GUYS. GUYS. GUYS. By interfering with Kenseth and breaking from the script, Brad Keselowski prevented a Toyota from winning the Toyota Owners 400. Super double-secret fine and probation in his future?

Wrong

First year they had 12 was 2007, Jr made it the year before that.
You are correct. It was the combination of Gordon and Jr both missing the Chase in '05 and defending champion Tony Stewart missing it in '06 that prompted the expansion.

As for the subject of fixing, I don't think it happens as often as the hardcore tin-foilers believe, but I think it does happen on occasion. Three of the last four Daytona 500 poles have been highly suspicious, for example.

nascar could have handed jr 2 wins this year, run an extra caution lap at vegas, wait till he took the white at darlington.

That's more believable than it being cause of Jr. I've seen it said a few times on here, every time I point out he made it the year before but people I guess forgets it every few months. But with what you said it's more believable, and could be true.

As far as the pole thing, I think it just is something that happened by chance, Daytona has had crazy pole sitters a lot, at least IMO. Didn't Johnson get the pole in his first 500? He didn't do much before moving to Cup. Austin this year was fast in testing, fast during Speed Weeks also right? He won both Nationwide and Truck Championships before moving up, so not to far fetched he got the pole. Danica has more or less always had a good car at Daytona, most the wrecks she's been in their was not of her doing, she could have had a great finish in any of them. I'm guessing the 3rd is Jr? Now I admit he isn't be best at it but he's gotten a few poles, what makes it seem fishy? The fact it was 10 years after his dad died?

I guess to stop stuff from seeming fishy people shouldn't try when it could be twisted like this.

Last but not least, as already said NASCAR had a chance to give Jr at least 2 wins this season if they wanted, and trust me if they fixed things you had saw him win at least one of them. Jr wouldn't only have 3 wins since coming to HMS, probably have a championship or two also. I admit fishy things happen but it's cause of NASCAR it's cause of fate.

Yep sure does.

There was a confirmed point shaving referee in the NBA. I'm ot saying anything either way, but in a sport controlled by just a few people and dominated by corporate dollars anything is possible IMO.

The greed of corporate America knows no bounds and has no limits.

Brad deserves a medal for that

Fishy stuff happening in the modern days as well

Mystery debris cautions are likely being thrown late in races which affect the outcome but fixing a race beforehand is not possible. If it was Junior would have won a couple of Championships already because the sport could really use a shot in the arm like that right now. Instead Jr will have to do it the hard way like everyone else, he will have to earn it. Consider this: if anyone had proof of a fix and it ever leaked out not only would the NASCAR brand become tarnished forever but every sponsor involved in the sport would lose also by association (think NAPA). Crewmembers are not stupid, they can smell a rat and the story would leak out when they change jobs and go to work for another team.
