did you do a "restore to factory defaults" or whatever it is, in itunes?

you've probably already tried this but if not maybe it will help. never used an ipod so can't help any further.

Well, got it figured out..Both of my cables were BAD...I brough it to my sisters house and used her cable and it worked...tried my cables after that it would not work....I bought these cables off amazon for cheap.......Lesson learned
Yep. Using those cheap knockoff cables is a quick path to destroying your iPod. eBay is about the only place you'll ever find a genuine cable for any cheaper than the $19 you'll fork over to Apple. And eBay carries its own fair share of risks...
