I only caught the end of qualifying on VS. What happened to TK?

I only caught the end of qualifying on VS. What happened to TK?

The car. He doenst have a good car right now. The setup is bad too.

His team hasnt given him a good car or setup for awhile. Why ? I dont know but there is no excuse for it.

Look at the Indy 500 fiasco with his car. He had to use Hideki's backup car. The Indy 500, I mean come on, the race of the year and you give TK junk like that. No reason for it. He could be back in that bad car he was given at Indy. His car went out mechanically again at Milwaukee. Le'ts hope his team can put together a good car for the race tonight. He is a much better driver than what his results are showing.

I'll get off my soapbox but this kind of crap upsets me and AGR is my favorite team.

Isn't his contract up this year? I agree, DanicaRules, what are they thinking? I hope they get it together soon.

No, his contract is not up. Tony signed a 5 year deal last year so he has 4 years left. They better get thier act together.

Wow that was last season they were talking about Tony resigning? Wow, time flies!! Anyway, it looks like Danica has the good AGR equipment this year. I think they need to cut back to 3 teams-Danica, Marco and Tony and use the extra resources to catch up to Penske and Ganassi. ...but unfortunately I don't work for AGR, and I doubt they care about my opinion ;) Enjoy the race tonight!!

The IndyCar series is about to go green flag racing in Texas! Shaq did a good command to start engines, I like to hear "ladies and gentlemen" not just "drivers" start your engines.
Go AGR :beerbang:, although tonight I'm pulling for anyone but Penske or Ganassi drivers. ...and where oh where is Paul Tracy?!?! Someone give him a full time ride!!!

Edited to add:
Less than halfway and only 10 cars on the lead lap. This is what makes people not watch IndyCar racing.

So I just turned on the race, and see that a number of cars are out, including Rahal. What happened with him?

So they have these BS debris cautions in INDY too huh?....why?... coz the Aussie was 11 seconds ahead...........they never even pretended to show us the debris.....

I must say these versus commentators talk to the viewers as this were our first race we have ever watched...patronizing somewhat

I think the announcers always leave more than a bit to be desired

Unfortunately it seems that something broke on the car, he slid backwards fast and the lost it. He caused the caution taking Milka Duno and EJ Viso (no great loss to the race there except Graham himself)

Anyone know what dicates a car (or cars) getting the wave by to get back on the lead lap?

Marco Andetti is the biggest complainer of anyone racing beside him. This is not the first time he's *****ed about Danica not rolling over and letting him pass.

Here are the final results...

1. #3 Helio Castroneves
2. #6 Ryan Briscoe
3. #9 Scott Dixon
4. #26 Marco Andretti
5. #10 Dario Franchitti
6. #7 Danica Patrick

8. #11 Tony Kanaan
9. #20 Ed Carpenter
10. #5 Mario Moraes
11. #06 Robert Doornbos
12. #2 Raphael Matos
13. #43 Tomas Scheckter
14. #34 Alex Tagliani
15. #18 Justin Wilson
16. #21 Ryan Hunter-Reay
17. #67 Sarah Fisher

21. #27 Hideki Mutoh
22. #02 Graham Rahal
23. #23 Milka Duno
24. #13 EJ Viso

I got a great shot of Helio with the 6'ers and hat in victory lane. I'll upload it tomorrow.

all my stuff is still in my truck...A good 45 minutes worth of interviews from 6 or so people and a good 400-600 images from both races combined.

I would also have to say that is the best Ive seen Marco drive in a long time. I was glad to see him get a top 5. Let's hope he can carry this momentum into the rest of the season.

As for getting upset with Danica, that wasnt right. She did nothing wrong. It was clean racing. Like she said, she isnt going to just give up a spot. No driver would.

Exactly. And Marco is the biggest whiner of the AGR team (actually, all of IRL). Like i said, that's not the first time I've heard him complain about a teammate racing him. And he needs to not forget what he did to TK last year at Indy.

This year, if she can keep it up on the road courses, Danica has shown that she's there for a reason, and i think she has a darn good shot at a win (and not a fuel mileage win). If AGR can find just a little something to compete with Penske and Ganassi that is.

Pics

Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

About Marco. He is just another chip off the old block. Mario and Michael used to whine when things didn't go their way also.

I was at the race, and there was one lap when Danica shut the door on him, but hey everyone has at one time or another.

where were you at? I was on pit road between the 5 and 51 pits for trucks and spent the first half of the IRL race at pit exit befire shooting from outside turn 1

I didn't have credentials, so I was up in section 222 row 25.
If you can get me in for photos, be glad to help.
