I thought these statistics made this race even more interesting. This is how the top 3 championship contenders have done this year on 1.5 mile ovals, like Homestead-Miami Speedway is.

Driver / #Wins / Average Start / Average Finish / Average Points

Scott Dixon / 2 / 3 / 2.8 / 41.6
Dario Franchitti / 0 / 5.8 / 7 / 28.6
Ryan Briscoe / 2 / 3.4 / 5.2 / 37.8

I'll check again, nothing in there prior to this post. Sorry if I missed something.

Well, we converted the CMS over at RFTW. Email [email protected] if you're interested in doing a write up on this weekend's IRL race.

He's going to be in Fontana for NASCAR and we have someone at The Rock so that leaves me and Mag. Problem is, both of us have DirecTV and don't get Versus (I'm still pissed:mad:, heard the Caps/Flyers game was one for the ages).

I am still mad at how Dan Wheldon's pit crew took Danica practically out of the race. She had a top 5 car for sure.

I was at the race today... when we had only 3 cars on the lead lap about 1/4 of the way in, I thought it was going to be a very boring race. Although I'd REALLY like to see more competetiveness in IndyCar, it was definitely not a boring race. I'm very glad Dario won :)
