I thought i heard somewhere Thomas Sheckter was gonna race Long Beach.

The deal with 3G didnt go through with Sheckter. We could still see him possibly with Dale Coyne Racing in the near future though.

but Helio is booting Will from the seat, and starting from the back, right?

Mmmmmmmmmmm, Not what I heard in the interview. Penske will field a 3rd car with Helio behind the wheel. Indy even conceeded extra practice time for Helio since he hasn't been in a car since October. Penske likes Scott Speed's performance and didn't want to take him out.

Helio will be back in the #3 car and Will Power will be driving the #12 car for this race. Helio is qualifying today with everyone else.

I meant to catch it, but forgot all about it. That race is about the only street course I like.

I missed it and I would have loved to see it, esp. being in Long Beach. We watched the repeat of F1 at my daughter's and the the news came on and had snips of it on. I looked at my husband and said.... WE MISSED IT!!!! He remembered and was probably watching some of it in the other room before we left. He could have told me! LOL

I'm so thrilled Helio is back and Dario for that matter! I was thinking I'd have to go with Graham Rahall - he just seemed nice when I saw him on TV so that's all I have(!) Now that Helio and Dario are back, I'll root for all 3 of them and now I want to go to the Watkins Glen race. I didn't realize they'd get Helio back in the car so quickly! Too bad I can't buy the 3pak they offer - only $50 more to go to both since my seats aren't in the right place for NASCAR for that package. Dang!

Congratulations Dario!!

I thought it was a really good race too. Thrilled that Dario won, wouldn't have hurt my feelings if Will Power had won though. Great run by Tony K and Danica

Is Will's ride in the 12 for the rest of the season or was that a one race thing?

I believe Will will be in that car for the Indy 500, but that's it.

Is Will's ride in the 12 for the rest of the season or was that a one race thing?

Will is set for the Indy 500 only as of right now with Penske. We may see him on other road courses but nothing has been said as of yet.
